 OUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPERS\n\nThe Eight Annual Academic Conference on Cor
 porate Governance will be\nheld at Drexel University’s LeBow College of 
 Business on Friday\nApril 17\, 2015. The conference features theoretical a
 nd empirical\nresearch related to corporate governance with a slight prefe
 rence to\nresearch related to work by this year’s honoree\, Jonathan Kar
 poff.\n\nJonathan M. Karpoff\, is the Washington Mutual Endowed Chair in\n
 Innovation Professor of Finance at the University of Washington Foster\nSc
 hool Of Business. Jon will receive our award for outstanding\ncontribution
 s to research in corporate governance and present the\nkeynote speech at F
 riday’s luncheon. Previous recipients were\nMichael Jensen\, Rene Stulz\
 , Andrei Shleifer\, Steven Kaplan\, Harold\nDemsetz\, Kevin Murphy and Mic
 hael Weisbach.\n\nTHE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS IS NOVEMBER 21\, 2
 014.\n\nSUBMISSION GUIDELINES\n\nTo be eligible for submission\, the paper
  must still be at a revisable\nstage (i.e. neither published nor so close 
 to publication that\nsignificant changes are not feasible) by the date of 
 the conference.\n\nWe expect to notify authors about acceptances by early 
 February 2015.\n\nYou are welcome to register and attend the conference wh
 ether or not\nyou submit a paper and whether or not your paper is accepted
 .\nConference registration will be opening in January 2015.\n\nYou may upl
 oad one paper for consideration via our website on the\nsignup confirmatio
 n page. If you would like to submit more that one\npaper please be sure to
  select the correct number of additional papers\nfrom the drop down “gue
 sts” menu on the sign up screen so that\nyour total is generated correct
 ly. Once registration is completed you\nwill need to email your additional
  papers to Tamikaw@drexel.edu.\n
