Specifically\,\ntheor y and research on the conceptualization\, operationalization\, and\noutcom es of diversity have provided insight into its meaning and\nimport as well as its effects in and on organizations. In addition\,\nmore recent work h as unearthed moderators and other contextual\ninfluences on diversity effe cts. Yet\, even with such developments in\nthis growing body of literature \, we still have a relatively limited\nunderstanding of diversity as a mul tilevel and dynamic construct. Put\ndifferently\, there is still much work to be done in this area. Tracing\nthe evolution of diversity and identify ing key contributions to the\nfield\, this paper offers a roadmap for futu re study of diversity. In\nparticular\, directions for exploring a broader conceptualization of\ndiversity and its outcomes\, examining underlying m echanisms\, and\nadopting a more contingent perspective on its management in\norganizations are discussed.\n DTSTART:20141031T143000Z DTEND:20141031T160000Z LOCATION:Gerri C.
