Breen\, 59 \, is chair of the board and CEO. He joined the\nDuPont board of directors in February 2015\, was named interim chair of\nthe board and CEO on Oct. 16\, 2015\, and assumed his current role Nov.\n9\, 2015. Breen served as c hairman and CEO of Tyco International plc\n(“Tyco”) from July 2002 unt il September 2012. Over the course of\nhis tenure\, he transformed Tyco in to a strong market leader\, reviving\nthe company from near bankruptcy and rebuilding the company’s brand\nand credibility. He oversaw a successfu l restructuring\, including\ndivesting non-core operations resulting in th e spin-offs of Covidien\,\nTE Connectivity\, ADT Corporation and the merge r of Tyco Flow Control\nwith Pentair. He also established and met goals wi thin areas of\noperational excellence and corporate governance.\n\nPrior t o joining Tyco\, Breen held several senior management positions\nat Motoro la from 2000 to 2002\, including as president and chief\noperating officer . Breen is credited with instituting cost management\nprograms that made M otorola a more efficient and effective\norganization and led the company b ack to profitability. From December\n1997 to January 2000\, he served as c hairman\, president and chief\nexecutive officer of General Instrument Cor poration where he created\nsignificant long-term shareholder value by driv ing a revenue growth\nstrategy. Between 1994 and 1997\, Breen was presiden t of the Broadband\nNetworks Group for General Instrument\, President of E astern Operations\nfor the Communications Division and served as Executive Vice President\nof Terrestrial Systems.\n\nBreen currently serves as chai rman of Tyco and a director of Comcast\nCorporation. He also serves as a m ember of the advisory board of New\nMountain Capital LLC\, a private equit y firm.
