Most of my work focuses on au ction\nmarkets and deals with evaluating effectiveness of specific auction \nmechanisms in promoting auction participation\, maximizing the\nauctione er’s revenue\, or matching seller to buyer on the basis of\nthe seller ’s characteristics (e.g. quality or location) and the\nbuyer’s willing ness to pay for these characteristics. I have also\nmade methodological co ntributions to the literature analyzing the\nestimation of auction models in the presence of unobserved object\ncharacteristics. In non-auction part of my research I analyze firms’\nproduct choices and subsequent pricing decisions in the environment\nwith strategic interactions among firms and government regulation of\nproduct properties. In one study\, I use this f ramework to assess the\nimpact of government regulation on the portfolios offered by pension\nfunds\, their prices\, social welfare\, and on governm ent liabilities in\nthe Chilean privatized pension system.\n DTSTART:20170324T180000Z DTEND:20170324T193000Z LOCATION:Gerri C.
