 011. He\nreceived a Ph.D. from the IIES\, Stockholm University\, and was a
 warded\nthe Arnbergska Prize for his dissertation work by the Royal Swedis
 h\nAcademy of Sciences. His research spans a broad spectrum of issues in\n
 macroeconomics\, labor economics and monetary economics. A central\nfocus 
 of his research is the labor market and\, more specifically\, the\ninterac
 tion between the business cycle and unemployment. He has also\ndone extens
 ive research on the job search behavior of unemployed\nworkers. Professor 
 Mueller teaches the course Global Economic\nEnvironment II (Business Cycle
 s and Financial Markets).\n
