Course 2: Content Marketing & Automation (4 sessions). Drexel’s Content Marketing & Automation course equips students with a foundational understanding of the “inbound marketing” methodology and how to efficiently plan a content marketing strategy. At the core of the content marketing discipline is knowing how to create the right message for the right person at the right time, thereby perfectly calibrating your company’s marketing messages to key audience personas in such a way that it builds trust, educates and ultimately helps the consumer to be a smarter, savvier and more confident buyer. This is in direct contrast to more traditional “interruptive” marketing techniques that put the marketer’s needs and agenda ahead of the target consumers.
Students are expected to complete the course with the knowledge and understanding of:
- How to build audience personas
- How to calibrate content to the different stages of the buyer’s journey
- How to research content ideas and build optimally performing content assets
- How to remarket to audience segments through email marketing
- How to optimize email marketing efforts
- How to setup email marketing segments, drip sequences, and measure performance
- How to use social media to grow an email list
- How to maximize content reach and distribution efforts
…. and related disciplines
