Dr. Greeley is a Professor of Anesthesiology, Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He is Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX. He has received a Master’s of Business Administration from Duke University.

As an Attending Physician at CHOP, he provides medical care on the Pediatric Cardiovascular and General Anesthesia services, as well as on the Pediatric/Cardiac ICU services. He is directly responsible for the training of 30 Fellows and numerous UPENN residents, medical students in the ORs and ICUs at CHOP. His research is focused on investigating the effects of cardiopulmonary bypass and circulatory arrest on the developing brain and is currently funded by two NIH R01 grants.

Dr. Greeley is a subcommittee member of the Board of Trustees at CHOP as well as a member, former President and current President of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Practice Association. He is also the former Pediatric Section Editor for the Journal of Anesthesia and Analgesia.
