Dr. Terrie L. Walmsley is a specialist in global trade analysis and visitor from ImpactECON. She has published numerous articles in leading journals on issues related to trade, migration and foreign investment; and has built several widely-used global models and databases for examining supply chains, non-tariff measures, migration, dynamics and households.
As Chief Economist of ImpactECON, Walmsley has undertaken numerous trade policy studies, including examining the impact of reversing NAFTA and the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. Prior to joining ImpactECON, Walmsley was an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Global Trade Analysis at Purdue University. Her clients have included more than a dozen national and international agencies such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
