The sport, leisure, and recreation industries continue to expand globally, creating more opportunities for future sport managers. This program will provide students with the baseline knowledge necessary for a career in European/international sport management. Students will learn about fundamental/contemporary issues in European sport management, matters related to governance, and management essentials of European/international sport.

The course culminates in an Intensive Course Abroad hosted by the Centre for Law and Economics of Sport (CDES) at the University of Limoges, in France. In France, students will gain a theoretical and practical understanding of concepts learned throughout the course using a comparative approach delivered by CDES faculty. Students will travel to Paris to meet with French sport management industry officials and local experts as part of supplementing and supporting concepts learned throughout the course.
