Drexel LeBow Black Alumni Network

The Drexel LeBow Black Alumni Network (DLBAN) is an official college chapter under the Drexel Black Alumni Council (DUBAC). DLBAN helps foster strong and meaningful relationships with the Black LeBow alumni community and connects members in efforts that support current business students. Through programming, mentoring, fundraising, volunteering and guest-speaking opportunities, there are many ways to get involved in this DUBAC college chapter and LeBow-sponsored network.

Mission

The mission of DLBAN is to support efforts in promoting diversity within the College by supporting Black/African American students, alumni and faculty at LeBow. This mission aligns with DUBAC’s vision and the LeBow College of Business Strategic Plan to advance a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion by promoting a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.

The network will broaden opportunities for Black/African American alumni and students at LeBow; maximize Black/African American alumni participation; and create an all-inclusive network to connect Black alumni with current students.

Vision

To foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes a thriving community of Black/African American alumni, students and faculty at the LeBow College of Business and cultivate generations of Black leaders in business.

Goals

Network

Build and sustain a robust Black alumni network in support of LeBow’s strategic initiatives. Engage current students and alumni through targeted programming, networking, fundraising and other volunteer initiatives.

Fundraise

Engage alumni and members in targeted fundraising and other volunteer initiatives that support current programs and scholarships for underrepresented students in business.

Mentorship

Support the development of and deliver mentorship opportunities to Black/African American and other underrepresented students in the LeBow community and BRIDGE program to help students achieve their professional and personal goals.

Programming

Provide a pipeline of diverse guest speakers to enhance the student experience. Advance the careers and professional development interests of Black/African American alumni and students.
