Fifth-year students Assata Folasade King and Jonathan Parker were named to Poets&Quants for Undergrads’ 100 Best & Brightest Business Majors of 2022.

As LeBow’s representatives on the list that accompanies the College’s position as 60th on Poets&Quants Best Undergraduate Business School Rankings, King and Parker took stock of their student careers and acknowledged classmates and professors who have had an influence on them during their time at Drexel LeBow.

King, a marketing and organizational management major from Collingdale, Pa., expressed her determination to break into the fashion industry and her gratitude for the confidence and awareness of the world that studying business has given her.

“You can make anything a business, even your creative passions,” she said. “I always had a natural love for fashion and styling, but I needed to study business to understand how to bridge the gap and make it work for me as a career.”

Parker, a finance and real estate management and development major from Oakhurst, N.J., outlined his plans for law school after graduating and how his interest in business law has shaped his outlook and the path he has taken.

“The biggest lesson I have gained from studying business is understanding that the field has vast global influences with large scale implications,” he says. “This affords many corporations and individuals a great deal of power to make economic, social, and political changes throughout the world. Wielding this influence and expertise ultimately gives these groups, including business students, the ability and obligation to create a future that benefits society in a positive manner.”
