Economics and Mathematics Combined Major

The STEM-designated economics and mathematics combined major is intended for students who have a strong interest in economics, applied mathematics and econometrics. The program emphasizes economics courses with more formal mathematical analysis and provides additional mathematics training, which equips students to understand and conduct more advanced research in economics and quantitative analysis.

The combined major also offers one year’s worth of free electives, providing students with the flexibility to explore additional interests or transition from the combined major to a double major in economics and mathematics.
