LeBow Sponsors Fourth Annual CFO of the Year Awards

July 07, 2011

The fourth annual CFO of the Year Awards luncheon, sponsored by Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and presented by the Philadelphia Business Journal, was held July 7. This event recognizes financial professionals in the Delaware Valley who demonstrate outstanding performance in their roles as financial stewards.

Three Drexel University alumni were among the finalists: Harold Earley, CFO of FXI Inc.; John T. Hanson, CFO/treasurer of the Delaware River Port Authority; and William F. Zarrilli, senior VP and CFO of The Richardson Co.

Earley took home the CFO of the Year award for the turnaround achievement category.

Other CFO of the Year Award winners include Diane Corrigan of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in the extra large company category; Adam Kaliner of Power Home Remodeling Group, Inc. in the large company category; Ted Kaminer of BioClinica Inc. in the medium company category, Brian McClintock of McGrath Systems in the small company category, and Joseph Trainor of the University of the Sciences for the nonprofit category.

The winners were selected by a panel of six independent judges which included LeBow College of Business Dean George Tsetsekos, Ph.D. The judges selected finalists and winners based on evidence of how the nominee’s strategies helped the organization overcome adverse situations, and they looked for quantitative examples of how the nominee’s performance contributed to the company’s growth and profitability. Community service was also taken into account.
