Moderator: Donna DeCarolis, Ph.D., Associate Vice Provost for Entrepreneurship Education and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. DeCarolis has researched, written and lectured extensively on various aspects of entrepreneurship, technology management and technology commercialization. Her areas of expertise are entrepreneurship and new venture creation, technology commercialization, strategic alliances, and social capital.

Milton Roy is a leading global metering pump and gas booster company which supplies pumping solutions to water treatment, oil and gas, and processing industries. Milton Roy has 10 manufacturing facilities and over 1200 employees located around the world.

Suellen joined Milton Roy in 2006 as General Manager for the Americas where she was responsible for 60% of the revenue and increased return on sales by 12 percentage points making it an industry leader at 28%.

Christine M. Montalvo, President and General Manager, L-3 - SPD Electrical Systems

Christine joined L-3 SPD Electrical Systems in May 2003, after being recruited for her expertise in Business Operations and Finance. During this time, she has held various positions of increasing responsibility, such as CFO, Vice President of Finance and Assistant General Manager. Christine assumed the role of President & General Manager of SPD Electrical Systems in December 2010. Christine has over 25 years of financial and operational management experience in the Defense industry with companies that include Grumman Electronics Systems, BAE Systems and its predecessor companies Lockheed Martin and Loral Fairchild. Christine’s accomplishments stem from turning a company around from a multimillion dollar loss to multimillion dollars in profit on an annual basis. She was instrumental in changing the culture of the organization and has strongly supported numerous certification programs, workmanship, and professional and leadership areas. In 2007, her Finance Department was singled out from over 100 Divisions and recognized by L-3 Corporate for “Best Financial Performance by a Division”.

Shelley Boyce is founder and chief executive officer of MedRisk, Inc.—the nation’s leading provider of specialty programs to manage physical medicine services for the workers’ compensation industry. Founded in 1994, Ms. Boyce oversees all aspects of the company’s strategic growth and business development initiatives.
