Department of Finance

The finance program at Drexel prepares students for careers in corporate financial management, the investment field and the public sector. It also provides excellent basic preparation for various types of professional certification, including chartered financial analyst (CFA) and certified financial planner (CFP). In money and capital markets, students often find careers in banking, securities analysis and portfolio management. In government, many choose to work for regulatory agencies. Typical positions include financial analyst, capital budgeting officer, credit analyst, merger and acquisition manager, bank trust officer and portfolio analyst securities broker.
