Operations Management focuses on the modeling and analysis of important strategic and operational decisions for both manufacturing and service firms.  Areas of research and application include: firms’ production scheduling and inventory control policies; supply chain coordination schemes; implementation and economics of sustainable engineering technology; quality control and process improvement; lean systems (Just-In-Time) and manufacturing technology management; and productivity and efficiency in the pursuit of excellence in operations towards achieving competitive advantage.
