PhD degrees are delivered as full-time, on-campus degrees and normally require about five years to complete. Graduates go on to become faculty at highly reputable institutions such as Oregon State University, Pepperdine and University City London.

Areas of Study

LeBow offers two degrees: a PhD in Business and a PhD in Economics. The PhD in Business includes specializations in accounting, decision sciences, finance, marketing and management (organizational behavior and strategy).

The PhD in Business with a specialization in accounting motivates individuals to develop critical research, teaching and publishing skills for successful career in academia.

The PhD in Business with a specialization in Decision Sciences prepares students for highly rewarding careers in academic institutions, business and government.

Students can concentrate on one of three fields of study: Industrial Organization, International Trade, and Macroeconomics. The Program also provides strong training in Applied Microeconometrics.

The PhD in Business with a specialization in finance prepares students to understand the theoretical foundations and literature and utilize software and databases for research.

The PhD in Business with a specialization in marketing focuses on the fundamental role of the marketing process within an organization through interpreting needs and wants of markets and formulating appropriate product, pricing, promotion and distribution strategies.

The PhD in Business with a specialization in organization and strategy prepares students to conduct research on behavioral and strategic issues facing contemporary organizations through coursework focusing on the interplay between organizational behavior and strategic management.
