Two Drexel LeBow Online MBA alumni were included among Poets&Quants’ Best & Brightest Online MBAs for 2021.

Charles Sineri, BS biological sciences ’10, MS healthcare management ’16, MBA ’20, and Melissa Ritter Hermanson, BS nursing ’18, MS healthcare management ’18, MBA ’21, both work in healthcare — Sineri as a physician, Hermanson as an administrator — and have found that their LeBow Online MBA studies complemented their skills as medical professionals while helping to grow and diversify their careers.

After ranking 14th in Poets&Quants’ Best Online MBA Programs in 2020, LeBow was asked to put forward two Class of 2021 students to be featured among over 50 online MBA graduates recognized for “strong academic performance, critical and consistent contributions, striking personal narratives and innate potential,” according to the site.

Sineri and Hermanson both shared stories about their career trajectories and how the Drexel LeBow Online MBA is helping them reach long-held career ambitions.

“With a very busy schedule and a commitment to becoming a cardiologist, I felt the best way to get the experience of becoming an MBA was to utilize the power of technology to mimic the same experience on my own schedule without losing that in person experience,” Sineri says.

“With my background in critical care nursing, I feel confident in clinical decision-making, but always lacked that confidence when speaking about revenue cycle or supply chain decisions,” Hermanson says. “Now, I am much more confident with the business aspects of my practice.”
