Bringing together board chairs, corporate directors and senior executives to address the critical issues facing boards today. Directors Academy is a one and a half day Director focused educational program for board ready individuals or those serving on their first public or private board.

Day 1: May 20, 2015 12:00 P.M.- 5:00 P.M. (Half-day session) Day 2: May 21, 2015 8:30 A.M.- 5:00 P.M. (Networking reception to follow)

A major challenge facing new board members is the change from the mindset of a hands-on executive, to a role of shaping and monitoring the agenda for a corporation. Frequently, this must be accomplished against a background of varying pressure from shareholder activists – including open warfare over compensation, board composition and even the configuration of the business units and assets of the corporation as they have historically developed. The Directors Academy will challenge participants to develop their focus on the sometimes competing interests of multiple stakeholders. Sessions will include the views of various expert stakeholders who will address the trending topics of the 2015 proxy season.
