Over the past ten years, research on the long term effects of sports related concussions has rocked athletic communities across the United States. This panel will discuss the seriousness of sports related brain trauma and what we can do to improve the lives of athletes who happen to suffer from concussions.

This event is free and does not require registration.

Confirmed Panelists Christopher B. Renjilian, MD, is an attending physician with both the Division of Adolescent Medicine and the Division of Orthopaedics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He specializes in Sports injuries, Concussions, and Female athlete triad.

Graham Thomas: founder of Untold Foundation which he started in October of 2013, a few weeks after his 17 year old son Zander tragically took his own life. Zander was a youth hockey player who suffered from the effects of traumatic brain injury.

Roni Robinson: a nurse practitioner at CHOP who works in the Trauma Center and specializes in TBI and concussions.

Brad Quast: a former NFL linebacker with the Jets and Eagles who is dealing with cognitive issues that are related to his football career.

Nicole Baxter: Professional soccer player for Telgi United, based in Sweden.
