Center for Global Policy Analysis

The Center for Global Policy Analysis (CGPA) is a hub for research on economic sanctions, international trade and other cross-boundary policies impacting nations and private businesses. The CGPA delivers insights on the state of the world economy and the geoeconomic dynamics among governments through rigorous academic research and by thoroughly documenting the imposition of sanctions, the signing of trade agreements and the occurrence of other international actions. The Center hosts conferences on sanctions, international trade and other current global topics, publishes a working papers series focused on global policy analysis, and provides high-level research opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.

Professor Yoto Yotov Publishes Chapter on Gravity Model for Undergraduate Students

Yoto Yotov, PhD, professor of economics and academic director of the Center for Global Policy Analysis, authored a new working-paper chapter titled Gravity for Undergrads to support undergraduate education in international trade. The chapter introduces the gravity model of trade, explains its theoretical and econometric foundations and concludes with real-world policy applications using hands-on data analysis.
