David Becher, PhD, Dean’s Industry Fellow and Professor of Finance
Finance Professor David Becher Named to New Leadership Position

Dean’s Industry Fellow and Professor of Finance David Becher, PhD, was elected as an Academic Director of the Financial Management Association (FMA), an association of academic researchers and practitioners in finance. He officially assumed the role at the FMA’s annual conference in Vancouver, BC, in October, and will have a leading role in organizing the FMA’s conference and other programming for the next three years.

Becher’s position continues a long-running connection between LeBow and FMA. TD Bank Endowed Professor of Finance Michelle Lowry, PhD, served as FMA president in 2023 after being elected vice president of the FMA conference in 2021. She is on sabbatical from LeBow during the 2025-26 academic year but remains on the FMA board as past president.
