How to Access BoardEx Data

The BoardEx database contains biographical information on most board members and senior executives around the world. Approximately 25% of the individuals are currently serving on boards of companies and 75% are either board members or part of the C-Suite. These individuals are associated with over 1.7 million global organizations. New leaders are being added continuously including over 100,000 new people annually representing turnover in key organizational roles in the world’s largest companies.

Before You Begin

Off-Campus Access

LCB server shares are only accessible from within Drexel’s campus. To connect to the BoardEx share from off-campus, you will first need to connect to the Drexel VPN. Instructions can be found at https://drexel.edu/it/services/catalog/cisco-anyconnect-vpn/

Manipulating Files

The BoardEx data is read-only. If you need to manipulate the data, you must copy it to a local folder on your computer.


Windows 10 Users

  1. Open the Windows menu.
  2. Browse to Windows System and select File Explorer.
  3. From the menu on the left, select This PC.
  4. Browse to the Y: drive.
    • If you do not see the Y: drive, contact LeBow Tech.
  5. Open BoardEx.


macOS Users

  1. Launch Finder.
  2. From the Go dropdown menu, select Network.
  3. Open LCBFILE.
  4. Open Departments.
  5. Open BoardEx.
