The Home Depot
The Home Depot wanted to find a way to better understand and prevent remakes — the need to remake a product that had shipped to the customer either damaged or with the incorrect dimensions. Remakes can cost upward of 6% of the organization’s top-line revenue.
The Home Depot integrated a Tableau environment to reduce inefficiencies and understand process blind spots, allowing the organization to visualize its current environment and move forward with predictive analytics to help prevent future issues.
The solution saved The Home Depot more than $1 million in sales costs in 2018. The organization has been able to combat remake costs in addition to forecasting for future sales.
