Biography

Steve serves as Assistant Director in the Office of Graduate Career Services at Drexel University in the LeBow College of Business where he works as career advisor to students in the MS Economics, MS Economics & Computer Science, MS Marketing. He also works with employers to connect them to Graduate Students for full-time and internship opportunities, and also provide a connection to other areas of LeBow. He develops events and programming to provide networking opportunities, skills development, and other services. Steve advises students as they discern their career paths and potential opportunities.

He joined Drexel University in 2006 following 25 years with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority in 2005 after 25 years of commercial lending, and economic and community development. He was responsible for project development, underwriting, and portfolio management at the Authority with experience in the funding and administration of not-for-profit, educational and religious organizations as well as large-scale corporate projects and emerging technology companies.

He is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University (BA, Economics, 1976) and Rider University (MBA, 1983). Steve is former President and former Board Member/Trustee of the Ewing Public Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which provides grants to teachers in the Ewing NJ Public School District for innovative projects and programs in all academic disciplines, and scholarships to graduating seniors, who excel in areas of academics, community service and leadership.

An ordained Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church, he is active in liturgical, counseling and adult education ministries. Steve has had extensive experience in stewardship, finance and development activities for the Catholic Diocese of Trenton and his church, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Trenton.

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary career advisor to MS Economics, MS Economics & Computer Science, MS Sports Business, and MS Marketing students, recent graduates and alumni, working with them in career management strategies, development of networking opportunities, interviewing and negotiating techniques
  • Conduct employer outreach to promote MBA/MS students, recent graduates and alumni for full-time and internship opportunities.
  • Develop workshops and employer-related programs to increase employer visibility and branding on campus and connect companies to graduate students.
  • Instructor for BUSN 615, Summer 2023.
