Directors’ Academy is for those seeking their first board seat or who are new to the boardroom. This highly interactive program covers the foundation of boardroom effectiveness and provides an overview of the tools, knowledge and skills needed to make a difference in the boardroom. The topics are taught by leading academics, experienced board members, and thought leaders in governance.
(This program is limited to 25 participants to ensure an enriched discussion)
Topics covered include:
• Current Shareholder Democracy. • Determining the Impact of Governance on Firm Value. • Strategy and Risk Oversight. • Understanding the Role of Corporate Governance in Business Decisions • Key Committees: Duties, Roles and Responsibilities. • Duty of Loyalty, Duty of Care. • Relationship of the “C-Suite and the Board.
