Alan J. Stone MBA ’08 was named unit manager for the managed services/infrastructure solutions division at Weidenhammer Systems Corporation in Wyomissing, Pa.  Stone was previously senior consultant at Weidenhammer.

Pablo Echavarria ’07 was named a principal at Turner Investment Partners, a Berwyn-based investment firm. Echavarria, a security analyst who covers the financial services sector for the firm’s growth stock portfolios, joined Turner Investment Partners in 2007.

Brenna Payne ’07 was featured in a news article in the South Bend Tribune (Indiana). She was a competitive luger, coming close to making the Winter Olympics in 2002 and ranking number one in the country in women’s singles in 2003. Her ranking rose as high as eighth in the world. She now works as a Dorm Parent at Fountain Valley School of Colorado.

Ashleigh E. Poff ’04 was recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in marketing. Ms. Poff specializes in the implementation of marketing campaigns, program development and relationship building. She manages marketing for all education programs at the National Wildlife Federation in Virginia.

Greg Murphy ’99 was hired as the vice president of information technology by Wilson Legal Solutions of Newtown Square, Pa. The company is a provider of business intelligence services to large and midsize law firms. Previously, Murphy acted as custom solutions manager, business intelligence, for Elite, an information services company.

Jennifer Wagner Magee ’93 produced the award-winning DVD series “Express Yourself, Baby!”which teaches sign language to parents and their children. Magee is a teacher at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.

Nicole Allen-Steele ’93 has been elected as a partner of the law firm, Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein LLP. Allen-Steele is a member of the Real Estate and Commercial Development Group in the Raleigh, N.C., office. She focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions involving acquisitions and sales, development, financing, and office and retail leasing. She manages the real estate components of mergers and acquisitions and advises telecommunications companies on site acquisition and municipal franchise issues. She also represents institutional lenders and borrowers in a variety of financing transactions.

Susan D. Cunningham ’92 CPA was named partner in the Tax Advisory Services and Real Estate Services groups at Marcum LLP in Newtown, Pa. Previously, she was a tax manager at the firm’s forerunner Margolis & Co.

Marc Vetri ’90 opened a Roman-style trattoria, Amís, at 13th and Waverly Streets in Philadelphia. In addition to Amís, Vetri operates the restaurants Osteria and Vetri, which are also located in Philadelphia.

William McGrath MBA ’88 has joined ShopNBC, a multichannel electronic retailer reaching 74 million homes in the United States, as vice president of quality assurance. Most recently, McGrath served as vice president global sourcing operations and finance at QVC. During his tenure at QVC, he also served in a variety of leadership positions.

Thomas J. Doll MBA ’88 was interviewed for an article “Worst of Times Makes for the Best of Times for Subaru,” appearing in the Philadelphia Inquirer.  Doll, chief executive officer at Subaru of America Inc., mentioned that Subaru had its best sales year ever in 2009, with 216,652 vehicles sold.

Denis P. O’Brien MBA ’87 was interviewed in The Entrepreneur after receiving the Business Leader of the Year Award from Drexel.  O’Brien, president and chief executive officer of PECO, spoke of his career and his relationship with Drexel University and former University president Constantine Papadakis.

Scott Wade MBA ’85 was appointed business manager for the industrial segment of C&M Corporation, a manufacturer of bulk cable, coil cords, and cable assemblies. Previously, Wade held positions with Sensata Technologies and Texas Instruments.

Janet DiFabio Good ’85, an account executive at MC2, received her designation as a certified trade show manager (CTSM) from EXHIBITOR magazine’s CTSM program. Good has worked at MC2, a leader in the exhibit and event marketing industry, for more than 15 years.

Richard Zawisza ’83 became the new director of finance for Norristown, Pa. Zawisza also became a member of the finance committee of the city council, the fire and police pension boards and the municipal information technology committee. In addition, he was appointed tax collector and will serve on the Montgomery County tax collection committee.

David Souchik ’81 was recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in C-suite management consulting.  Souchik is a partner at KPMG Advisory in Philadelphia, part of a global network of professional services firms providing audit, tax, and advisory services.

Robert Pick ’74, senior vice president of corporate development of Comcast Corporation, was quoted in an article, “Filling the Pipes,” that appeared in The Deal magazine. The article focused on Comcast Corporation’s purchase of a controlling stake in NBC Universal.

Robert Sobkow MBA ’72 was promoted from vice president of commercial lending to first vice president of commercial lending at Ocean City Home Bank in Ocean City, N.J. Sobkow has more than 40 years of banking experience, with 35 years of experience in commercial lending and 12 years in management. He also serves as treasurer of the board of directors for Atlantic County Habitat for Humanity.

Pat Burnley ’47, co-founder of Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, Pa., was interviewed in an article in the Sunday News, a Lancaster, Pa., newspaper. Kitchen Kettle began with selling little more than a few jars of jam in 1954 and has grown to be one of Lancaster’s most popular tourist destinations. The village employs about 300 people and gets 850,000 – 1 million visitors a year. Burnley, 81, also said that she loves her work and will never retire.
