Close Dean’s Student Advisory Council

The Close Dean’s Student Advisory Council provides student leaders with a platform to share ideas and feedback with Dean Donna De Carolis, PhD, on strategic initiatives like recruitment, retention and entrepreneurship trends, while promoting a strong, ethical Close School culture.

How the Close Dean’s Student Advisory Council Works

The Close Dean’s Student Advisory Council comprises one undergraduate student representative from each class (first-year through senior) in the BA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation program.

The Council meets once per quarter in fall, winter and spring quarters. Discussion items often focus on upcoming events within the Close School, building a sense of community, and sharing student ideas with the Dean.

Council members are selected each fall quarter for one academic year.

Close Ambassador Program

Student Ambassadors take on a leadership role by representing the Close School at Open Houses, Admitted Student events and by volunteering at competitions, festivals and other special events.
