Daniel Dudockin ’23
MBA
Daniel Dudockin served in the Israel Defense Forces before coming to the U.S. to earn his bachelor’s at the University of Nevada, Reno. He played Division I collegiate tennis in Nevada and still had a year of eligibility left upon graduation.
“I chose to come to Drexel first because of its great MBA program, and second because it’s located in Philadelphia, very close to Center City,” he said. The stellar academics, local networking opportunities — and a chance to play on the tennis team — all made Drexel a natural fit as he continued his education.
Since graduating from LeBow, Dudockin has begun to ramp up his career as a pricing analyst in the Department of Innovation & Value at Blank Rome LLP. The Philadelphia law firm has over 750 attorneys, serving clients across a wide range of industries.
As many in the legal profession recognize, he says, “clients often expect clarity and predictability around their legal spend.” When questions arise about scope or value, Dudockin and his team provide data-driven analysis that supports informed decision-making and aligns pricing and scope of work expectations.
“My role is to structure pricing strategies that reflect the value of our services while supporting the firm’s financial performance and alignment with market conditions,” he says, adding that his LeBow coursework set him up for success in the role.
Classes on business strategy, he says, “helped me to look at pros and cons, and then recommend the solution that has the most value.”
“My role right now is quite strategic. Even though it’s about pricing, we have to think carefully how pricing decisions can help us expand relationships with our clients.”
In this role, Dudockin has leaned heavily on LeBow coursework that taught him the basics of Artificial Intelligence. “I learned about the integration of AI in business, like how to use it to come up with solutions or recommendations — especially in legal services.”
AI also plays an important role in how Dudockin approaches scope development and budgeting. “In many matters, defining a clear scope of work at the outset is critical,” he explains. By leveraging AI to analyze historical matters, including attorney activity across various phases and tasks, the team can build structured analyses and develop more precise fee estimates, ultimately supporting budgetary predictability early in the engagement.
“The technology allows us to process large volumes of historical data efficiently,” he says. “That enables us to focus on interpreting the results and working closely with attorneys to structure engagements thoughtfully.”
While at LeBow, Dudockin also was part of the Lawrie Advanced Global Leadership Program. As a Lawrie Fellow, he got a big-picture view of how business leadership works.
“It helped me really understand the way that leaders think. The Lawrie experience helped me to see how the day-to-day activities in my role help the overall strategic goals of the firm.”
The program brought in leaders from a range of industries, “and it was so interesting to hear how they view their companies’ challenges and how they try different ways to solve those challenges and overcome them.”
With all those LeBow experiences under his belt, Dudockin has hit the ground running.
“I love what I do on a daily basis,” he said. “I really like providing insightful recommendations to help our clients, and serving as a business partner to our attorneys.”
