Former White House and National Security official; professor of National Security Law at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law
A former official with the White House National Security Council and the U.S. Department of Justice, Jordan Strauss is an attorney and the co-founder of a firm focused on technology and security issues (currently in stealth). He serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of Hampshire College, a Director of Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and an Advisory Board Member of Gupta Governance Institute. Jordan serves on the Technical Advisory Boards of two early stage defense and technology companies, and provides counsel to for- and non-profit boards (including Audit and Special Committees) on governance, security, and crisis issues.
After a federal clerkship and over a decade in public service across a number of roles, Jordan served as an executive at the consulting firm Kroll for seven years, where he worked with public and private clients experiencing existential threats, from sensitive data breaches and corporate espionage to entities concerned about geo-political and regulatory risk. Jordan is frequently asked to speak on evolving security and geo-political issues, and teaches National Security Law at Drexel University. A devoted Philadelphian, Jordan resides in the city with his spouse, a pediatrician.
