The CFA Society Philadelphia presents: Annual Alternatives Panel: The State of Alts in a Post-COVID Era
Location:
People in finance often observe that “alternative” investments - so called because of the niche role they once played for investors - need a new name.
Over the past twenty-five years, alternatives have evolved from a small part of the portfolios of the world’s largest investors into a core holding. Alternative investments - which include non-traditional asset classes such as private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure and more - represented just 5 percent of global pension portfolios in 1996. In 2020, they accounted for more than 25 percent.
Join us for a lively panel discussion on the future state of alternative investing post-COVID. Panelists will offer their perspectives on the current state of alternative investment strategies during, and after, the pandemic.
