Sponsorship Brings New Professional Development Resources for Faculty, Staff and Students
A major new partnership for LeBow and Drexel offers resources for the entire University community to advance their skills in market analysis, social analytics, generative AI and other key, industry-aligned topics.
Through a generous sponsorship by Pond Lehocky Giordano, a national law firm based in Philadelphia, Drexel has received a membership with the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), an industry advocacy group for the advertising industry. Pond Lehocky Giordano previously partnered with LeBow’s Center for Applied AI and Business Analytics on data-driven, project-based courses, and its CEO, Shawn Lehocky, is a 2023 LeBow MBA graduate.
Though this membership originated through a LeBow connection, the membership and the resources available through the ANA Educational Foundation are open to the entire University community.
Assistant Clinical Professor of Marketing Gil Peleg, PhD, who is serving as faculty representative for managing Drexel’s ANA membership, cites numerous on-demand training programs and certifications open to Drexel faculty and staff, including a marketing technology (MarTech) certification and a microlearning series with six short courses on generative AI.
He also notes that students can register for the MarTech certification and a self-paced certification, the Certified ANA Marketing Student (CAMS).
“These certifications are recognized by employers and can really set students apart as they begin their careers,” he says.
In the near term, Peleg has planned a site visit to Pond Lehocky for his undergraduate Marketing Insights course and will look to partner with the firm’s marketing department for relevant and practical examples to support his classroom material.
“The ANA is a major organization with a membership of thousands of companies — major ones that everyone has heard of,” he says. “Having access to their tools and resources through this membership will really be invaluable to our students as they identify opportunities and career paths in marketing and advertising.”
Brian Weiss, director of marketing for Pond Lehocky Giordano, noted that this sponsorship reflects the firm’s commitment to the communities it serves and to the next generation of leaders.
“Supporting Drexel students through the Association of National Advertisers membership reflects our belief in the power of strategic, ethical communication to drive real impact,” he says. “Whether these students go on to promote meaningful services, launch innovative products or champion the missions of nonprofits and corporations, we’re proud to help equip them with the tools and exposure they need to succeed and make a difference.”
