Bloomberg Terminal’s enable professionals in the financial service sector and other industries to access the Bloomberg Professional service through which users can monitor and analyze real-time financial market data and place trades on the electronic trading platform. The system also provides news, price quotes, and messaging across its proprietary secure network.
From a Bloomberg Terminal
- Sign on to one of the 9 Bloomberg Terminal computers in Gerri C. LeBow Hall 137 using your Drexel credentials.
- Launch Bloomberg from the desktop or Start menu.
- Select <Enter> or <Go> to begin.
- Select Create a New Login.
- Complete the Bloomberg Terminal form using your official Drexel email address.
- Once your account has been approved, Bloomberg will notify you via email.
From the Bloomberg Website
- Browse to https://portal.bloombergforeducation.com/login.
- Select Sign Up above the logon boxes.
- Select your correct designation at the top of the form.
- Leaner for students
- Professor for faculty
- Enter your Drexel email address (ex. abc123@drexel.edu) in the first field.
- Once completed, Drexel University should automatically populate in the institution field under your email address.
- Complete the remaining form fields including the I’m not a robot checkbox and select Sign Up.
- Bloomberg will send an activation email to the email address you entered in the form. Open the email, and follow any additional instructions to activate your account.
A Note About the Bloomberg Activation Email
The activation link in the account request email from Bloomberg is only valid for 24 hours. If you do not use the link within 24 hours, follow the instructions below to retrieve a new activation link.
- Browse to https://portal.bloombergforeducation.com/login.
- Select Didn’t receive activation instructions? below the logon boxes.
- Enter your Drexel email (ex. abc123@drexel.edu) in the field provided and select Resend Account Activation Link.
- Check your email for the new message.
