Drexel Senior Scholarship

To support our Drexel Dragons during a challenging economy and job market brought on by COVID-19, Drexel University is offering a one-time scholarship opportunity for graduating undergraduate seniors.

Any Drexel undergraduate, on campus or online, who graduated in the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, or 2021-2022 Academic Years and will start in participating programs for Winter 2022, Spring 2022 or Summer 2022, will be eligible for a scholarship covering 50 percent of the tuition cost (excluding fees) for any participating Drexel graduate program. Students who start in participating programs in Fall 2022 will be eligible for a scholarship covering 40 percent of the tuition costs (excluding fees) for any participating Drexel graduate program. Additional updates about the scholarship for Winter 2023 and beyond will be announced in the coming months; we encourage you to check back for updates.

Undergraduate seniors will need to apply and be accepted to participating Drexel graduate programs to be eligible for the scholarship. Please note that some graduate programs may cap enrollments based on capacity.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Drexel Senior Scholarship opportunity, students must meet the following criteria (note that some programs may set additional criteria):

  • Be a Drexel senior who graduated in the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 Academic Years or will be graduating in the 2020-2021 Academic Year
  • Submit a completed application, meet all admissions criteria and be accepted into a participating Drexel graduate program
  • Eligible to matriculate in Winter 2022, Spring 2022, or Summer 2022 to receive a 50 percent tuition scholarship or matriculate in Fall 2022 and receive a 40 percent tuition scholarship
  • Deferrals will be accepted throughout the year winter, spring, summer and fall
  • Maintain good academic standing (minimum 3.00 term and cumulative GPA)
  • Complete the program within 36 months of initial term of enrollment.

  • This offer excludes the following LeBow programs: Executive DBA, Executive MBA, MS in Sport Business.

Scholarship Details:

  • Covers 50 percent of the tuition charges, excluding fees, for those beginning in Winter 2022, Spring 2022 or Summer 2022. Covers 40 percent of the tuition charges, excluding fees, for those beginning in Fall 2022.
  • May not be combined with any other Drexel-sponsored scholarships, discounts or funding*
  • Recipients may not transition into a PhD or doctoral program before completing the eligible master’s degree program
  • Effective through the lifecycle of the eligible graduate program up to 36 months from the initial term of acceptance/enrollment
  • All terms completed after 36 months will be charged at the full tuition rate

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 4.5 credits to be eligible for federal financial aid.

Admissions Criteria for LeBow Programs

  • Personal Statement: Please address why you are choosing the degree and how it fits with your career goals.
  • Resume
  • Transcripts: Admissions will automatically pull transcripts on behalf of the student.
  • GMAT / GRE Scores: All applicants will be considered for waivers based on a holistic review of the following:

    • Undergrad major and GPA
    • Quantitative abilities displayed
    • Co-op/internship experience

Drexel LeBow College Underrepresented Minority Scholarship for Domestic and International Students

Starting in fall 2022, the Underrepresented Minority (URM) Scholarship will change to the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Scholarship - See Below. The URM Scholarship will remain active through the winter 2022, spring 2022 and summer 2022 terms.

Amount Allocated

To demonstrate our commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion, the LeBow College of Business has allocated $150,000 in supplemental scholarships for MBA and MS applicants who identify as an Underrepresented Minority (URM) student.

Submission Guidelines

All international and domestic applicants to the MBA and MS programs are automatically considered for scholarship opportunities when they apply; there is no separate application. Please be sure to include all relevant items with your admissions application.

Scholarship Qualifications

Prospects who identify as African American, Latino, Native American, and Alaskan Indian are eligible to receive the LeBow College URM Scholarship, in addition to any merit based scholarship they will receive.

All students who qualify are considered for the LeBow College URM Scholarship. However, members of our partnership organizations, National Black MBA Association - Philadelphia Chapter and Prospanica Philadelphia, are eligible for the LeBow College URM Scholarship in addition to any financial support and other resources available through these organizations, which may have their own respective deadlines.

Drexel Lebow Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship

The Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Scholarship will replace the Underrepresented Minority (URM) Scholarship beginning in fall 2022.

At the LeBow College of Business, we are committed to achieving this vision and to developing the next generation of culturally competent, globally minded and innovative leaders in business and society through the institutionalization of diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Drexel LeBow JEDI Scholarship recognizes individual student achievements and contributions within students’ personal or professional communities. The scholarship will be awarded to incoming MBA and MS students who have demonstrated a commitment to social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion and who have supported the personal or professional advancement of underrepresented groups. MBA and MS program applicants who would like to be considered for the scholarship should showcase their passion and work in their admissions application.

Submission Guidelines

All international and domestic applicants to the MBA and MS programs are automatically considered for scholarship opportunities when they apply; there is no separate application. Please be sure to include all relevant items with your admissions application. Applicants who would like to be considered for this scholarship should showcase the following when prompted to do so on the application:

  • Their passion for pursuing social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Their work to support the personal or professional advancement of underrepresented groups, including continuous contributions to existing initiatives through employment, community service or other civic engagement organizations

Scholarship Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Prospects who have demonstrated excellent contributions and achievements to further social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion in their professional and personal communities are eligible for the JEDI Scholarship, in addition to any merit-based scholarship they will receive.
  • Prospective students who are of African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Alaskan Indian or Pacific Islander descent are also eligible for the JEDI Scholarship.
