Drexel Undergraduate Class of 2020 Scholarship

To support our Drexel Dragons during a challenging economy and job market brought on by COVID-19, Drexel University is offering a one-time scholarship opportunity for graduating undergraduate seniors.

Any Drexel undergraduate senior, on campus or online, who is graduating in the 2019-2020 Academic Year (Fall 2019 through Summer 2020) will be eligible for a scholarship covering 50 percent of the tuition cost (excluding fees) for any participating Drexel graduate program.

Undergraduate seniors will need to apply and be accepted to participating Drexel graduate programs to be eligible for the scholarship. Please note that some graduate programs may cap enrollments based on capacity.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Drexel Undergraduate Class of 2020 Scholarship opportunity, students must meet the following criteria (note that some programs may set additional criteria):

  • Be a Drexel senior graduating in the 2019-2020 Academic Year (Fall 2019 (201915), Winter 2020 (201925), Spring 2020 (201935) and Summer 2020 (201945))
  • Submit a completed application, meet all admissions criteria and be accepted into a participating Drexel graduate program
  • Begin graduate program in Summer 2020 (201945), Fall 2020 (202015/202011), or Winter 2021 (202025)
  • Maintain good academic standing (minimum 3.00 term and cumulative GPA)
  • Complete the program within 36 months of initial term of enrollment.

  • MS in Quantitative Finance
  • MS in Supply Chain Management and Logistics
  • Certificate Business Analytics
  • Online Certificate Business Analytics
  • This offer excludes the following LeBow programs: Executive DBA, Executive MBA, Online MBA, MS in Sport Management.

Note: Any eligible student who has already received a Drexel scholarship toward a participating LeBow graduate program will receive an increase to cover 50% of the program tuition cost, excluding fees.

Scholarship Details:

  • Covers 50 percent of the tuition charges, excluding fees
  • May not be combined with any other Drexel-sponsored scholarships, discounts or funding*
  • Recipients may not transition into a PhD or doctoral program before completing the eligible master’s degree program
  • Effective through the lifecycle of the eligible graduate program up to 36 months from the initial term of acceptance/enrollment
  • All terms completed after 36 months will be charged at the full tuition rate

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 4.5 credits to be eligible for federal financial aid.

Admissions Criteria for LeBow Programs

  • Application fee: Waived
  • Personal Statement: Please address why you are choosing the degree and how it fits with your career goals.
  • Resume
  • Transcripts: Admissions will automatically pull transcripts on behalf of the student.
  • GMAT / GRE Scores: All applicants will be considered for waivers based on a holistic review of the following:
    • Undergrad major and GPA
    • Quantitative abilities displayed
    • Co-op/internship experience

  • Summer Term Start: June 12
  • Fall Term Start: September 10

Merit Based Scholarships for Domestic and International Students

With the support of our alumni, LeBow is pleased to offer the Alumni Merit Scholarship to top applicants in both the MBA and MS programs.

Submission Guidelines

All international and domestic applicants to the MBA and MS programs are automatically considered for scholarship opportunities when they apply; there is no separate application. Please be sure to include all relevant items with your admissions application.

Scholarship Qualifications

Scholarship consideration is based on your admissions application, with a focus on academic achievement, professional experience, GMAT or GRE exam scores, and unique personal attributes. The Alumni Merit Scholarship is designed to attract top graduate student talent, ensuring success in the next step of your career.

LeBow College Underrepresented Minority Scholarship for Domestic and International Students

Drexel University was founded on Anthony J. Drexel’s vision of education across boundaries, whether based on gender, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. As a university, we are committed to achieving this vision, and we are proud of the efforts of the individual colleges, schools, and administrative units to support our diverse community.

Amount Allocated

To demonstrate our commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion, the LeBow College of Business has allocated $150,000 in supplemental scholarships for MBA and MS applicants who identify as an Underrepresented Minority (URM) student.

Scholarship Qualifications

Prospects who identify as African American, Latino, Native American, and Alaskan Indian are eligible to receive the LeBow College URM Scholarship, in addition to any merit based scholarship they will receive.

Application Deadline

Scholarship deadlines are subject to application deadlines.

All students who qualify are considered for the LeBow College URM Scholarship. However, members of our partnership organizations, National Black MBA Association - Philadelphia Chapter and Prospanica Philadelphia, are eligible for the LeBow College URM Scholarship in addition to any financial support and other resources available through these organizations, which may have their own respective deadlines.

ROMBA Scholarship

Drexel LeBow in partnership with Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) encourages domestic MBA students who demonstrate strong academic skills, as well as leadership in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community to apply for this competitive scholarship. In addition to the financial support, Reaching Out Fellows access a multitude of benefits designed to showcase their profiles to ROMBA’s 90+ corporate partners and global network of 10,000+ peers and alumni.

ROMBA Scholarship Benefits Include:

  • All expenses paid* ROMBA Fellowship retreat in New York City from July 19-21. This event hosts over 1,700 LGBTQ MBA professionals for professional development workshops and sessions with high profile speakers.
    *(International travel is subsidized, not fully paid).

  • Free registration for all Reaching Out Events including the annual ROMBA Conference, MBA Treks, Out Women in Business Summit (OWIB), LGBTQ Club Leadership Summit, and more.

  • Priority consideration for placement in Reaching Out MBA Treks, providing students an opportunity to travel while gaining industry insights, a behind-the-scenes look at different company cultures and exclusive access to select companies.

Amount Allocated

Each year a $20,000 scholarship is awarded to two full-time MBA candidates.

Submission Guidelines

Students interested in entering the ROMBA scholarship program are required to successfully complete their LeBow admission application.

Scholarship Qualifications

Full-time MBA applicants interested in the ROMBA scholarship must demonstrate strong academic skills, as well as leadership in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. Involvement in the LGBTQ community may be demonstrated during the application process through various ways including the following:

  • Highlighting LGBTQ leadership roles on application resume
  • Expressing interest in LeBow’s on-campus LGBT Clubs
  • Sharing LGBTQ leadership experiences in application essays

FALL 2019 Application Deadline

Students who wish to be considered for the ROMBA scholarship must submit their application by June 15th for Fall 2019.
