Angela V. Harris is an innovative leader and presenter with over 20 years of experience as an IT Professional in the healthcare, insurance, and tech industries. She is currently an Operations Program Manager at Microsoft in Redmond, WA. Over the course of her career, she has led many successful projects and continually strives to exceed the expectations at-hand. She does so with confidence and with a spirit of excellence.
Angela is deeply committed to helping others and is especially passionate about causes that support girls and women to develop their talents. Her life purpose is to be of service: to encourage, engage, and equip others to believe in the possibilities. Keeping in line with that, in 2017, she established the Angela V. Harris Scholarship Fund at her Alma Mater, Drexel University, to support African American students studying in the College of Computing and Informatics.
Angela has been recognized for her gracious contributions over the years including: the Philadelphia Tribune’s Woman Achieving Award, The World Council and Assembly on Cooperative Education (WACE) Co-op Hall of Fame, Drexel University Black Alumni Council (DUBAC) Distinguished Alumni Award, Anita Borg Systers Pass It On Award, and Drexel University 40 Under 40.
Her sense of service and love for people goes hand-in-hand with her favorite hobby which is to enjoy life. She seeks to continue to explore the ‘wonders’ that life has to offer to her. Of the many things that bring her happiness, she has an affinity for great food, adventure and the arts.
Angela is a woman of excellence and has worked extremely hard to attain her goals. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Information Technology Leadership from La Salle University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She will forever strive to be the best as she lives by Gandhi’s famous words ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’.
