Angie Whitmyer McNeal

McNeal’s Drexel Co-op assignment led to a Department of Navy Internship, and a career of over 35 years of Federal Government Service experience in the field of Human Resources.

Now retired, she successfully performed the full range of specialist and supervisory responsibilities including performance ratings, disciplinary actions, complaint resolution, position creation, policy development, bargaining unit management operations, pay systems administration, skill assessment studies, and employee benefits. McNeal applied, interpreted and extrapolated rules, regulations and statute to advise the highest levels of leadership at the David Taylor Naval Research Laboratory, Department of Energy, Internal Revenue Service, Immigration and Naturalization Service (now a function absorbed into The Department of Homeland Security), and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. She earned many performance awards and enjoyable experiences throughout her distinguished career.

McNeal is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., NAACP, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Committee, Charter Member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Anne Arundel County, Drexel University Black Alumni Council, and committed donor to Public TV. Consistently, she leads community service activities including food drives that have resulted in the donation of over 7 tons of canned and non-perishable goods to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank.

McNeal earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Drexel University in 1977. Since that time, she has completed many leadership courses, workshops and seminars including the prestigious Federal Executive Institute.
