Ms. Johnson is an accomplished c-suite executive with strategic leadership, operational and financial expertise in leading, managing and growing companies. She is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of AlliedBarton Security Services, LLC, the third largest manned guarding security services company in America, owned by The Blackstone Group.

During six years with the firm, Carol led AlliedBarton Security Services in developing and deploying innovative, differentiated sales, marketing and customer service delivery models creating unique customer and employee experiences that prepared the company for an exceptionally successful sale in December 2015 from the Blackstone Group to the Wendel Group, and a subsequent merger with Warburg Pincus in 2016, creating Allied Universal, the largest North American manned guarding firm.

Carol is now pursuing a portfolio career, actively seeking corporate board and advisory roles, that would provide opportunities for her to contribute to a board, its committees and the company’s success. Carol currently serves on the Board of The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, the Bank’s Operating Management and Budget Committee and previously the Search Committees for both the President and First Vice Presidents.

For over 25 years, Carol held line P/L roles with increasing complexity and size. She successfully demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and execution of transformational changes in sales, marketing, operations, strategic large account relationship management and human capital talent management in 4 unique business services industries; travel and hospitality, business and education publishing, contract, temporary staffing and outsourcing, and security services.

A track record of significant growth, operating efficiency and profit improvement success, during her career Carol has successfully served global brand name customers in diverse industry verticals including; pharmaceutical, defense, aerospace, telecommunications, energy oil and gas, healthcare, commercial real estate, government, education, retail, and distribution. Her leadership positions have afforded her valuable expertise in dealing with the issues facing boards today, including; global human capital talent strategy formulation, succession planning, merger & acquisition integration, and physical and related cyber security.

Carol’s security industry experience with AlliedBarton included responsibility for $2.2B in revenue and 66,000 employees delivering physical security guarding, crisis management planning, risk assessment and mitigation, brand protection, and related cyber security operations. She is Cyber Security Oversight Certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and a NACD Board Leadership Fellow.

Her experience includes building businesses for Kelly Services, Inc., a $5.6B global workforce outsourcing solutions and staffing company, where she had responsibility for $1.2B, and led the largest metropolitan cities and the global strategic customer relationships. She also led a financial, sales and marketing turnaround for Norrell Services, a contract staffing and outsourcing human capital management company; Thomas Cook Travel Inc., a global travel management giant, and started her career with Official Airline Guides, Inc., a travel hospitality publishing company owned by The Dun and Bradstreet Corporation.

Carol has served on numerous professional organizations and not-for-profit boards. Presently, she serves as Vice President of the Union League Club of Philadelphia, on the Executive Committee, and was Treasurer. Carol earned her MBA in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago and Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Merchandising from Northern Illinois University. She resides in Villanova, PA.
