Co-Op History: First Co-op: IT Security and Compliance at FMC; Externship: Corporate Venture Capital and Business Analytics at HP Tech Ventures
Hello LeBow! My name is Christine, and I am a junior, majoring in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics with a minor in Security Technology. Recently, I co-op at FMC as an IT Security and Compliance Analyst, where I managed to learn about SOX controls, auditing third-party vendors, SOC 2 reports, etc.
I am studying business in Singapore at Nanyang Technological University, where it is an exchange program through Drexel. I managed to secure two big scholarships from Benjamin A. Gilman and Freeman-ASIA to fund my study abroad. Even though the hours are different from the US and Singapore, I am happy to assist students and provide them advice on securing a co-op, interviewing, applying for scholarships, and so much more. Treat me like an older sibling that you can rely on. I am also part of the Drexel Consulting Club, Ascend Drexel Student Chapter, the Vietnamese Student Association, LeBow BRIDGE and the Student Ambassador Program. If you see me doing a tour, feel free to say hi!
Talk to me about:
- How to stay involved on campus while commuting from home. I also commute from NE Philly and do not live on campus. If you need a buddy to talk to, feel free to book and connect with me!
- Studying abroad in another country by yourself. I can assist you on securing scholarships like the Gilman and Freeman-ASIA so that you do not burden yourself with expenses. Let’s work on how to budget your trip and travel.
- Making connections and setting up a coffee chat with professionals and alumni from Drexel. The job market is scary right now; however, you need to know someone in that field to get your application out. Let’s chat on how we can help you secure a coffee chat with a professional/alumni.
