Daniel R. Wertz ’09, has over 20 years of experience in structural engineering and currently serves as project manager at Mainstay Engineering Group. Wertz uses practical engineering experience to develop creative yet cost-effective solutions for a wide range of project types. His expertise includes proficiency in structural design and client relations to serve as the manager for projects ranging from new and existing cGMP facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories to the adaptive reuse of century-old structures. He has worked predominately in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, educational and commercial industries. His experience includes project management, engineering design services, serving as a point of contact for clients from conceptual through final design and construction phases, extensive analytical computer modeling and analysis multi-discipline coordination, existing conditions assessments as well as construction phase consultation services. Wertz currently sits on the board of directors for both the Structural Engineers Association of Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers for which he serves as president for the 2021-2022 term.
