Ed Bartholomew

Ed Bartholomew is former CFO at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Currently he is lecturer in finance at George Washington University, School of Business, and independent financial consultant.

Bartholomew was CFO at the IDB from 2008-14, where he was responsible for treasury, accounting, and financial planning, chaired the staff pension investment committee and led an internal pension-reform working group. Prior to the IDB, he was Managing Director for Sovereign Liability Management at J.P.Morgan, where he provided debt valuation, advisory, and capital markets execution services for emerging markets governments globally. In a previous role at J.P.Morgan, he led the team that created the Emerging Markets Bond Index (EMBI).

Bartholomew holds a BS in Operations Research and an MBA, both from Cornell University.
