Elaine Goldwater is Director of Global Marketing for Life Cycle Management for Merck. Where she strategically guides and enables Global/US marketing teams to develop and execute brand maximization strategies in preparation for LOE through Brand/Market specific diagnosis, strategy development, innovation, capability assessment and execution by understanding value differentiators, process, market archetypes, access, etc. to balance retention and growth across market and customer types. Out-performing industry average erosion curves by more than 20%.

Prior to this role she was Director of Global Marketing for Anti-Infectives for Merck & Co. Inc. She led a team who set the vision for marketing strategy, country product launches, life cycle management, contracting and discounts in both public and private sectors. She led cross functional teams to delivered growth while ensuring and strengthening brand alignment through product launch excellence in the United States, European, Middle East, Africa, Latin American and Asian markets including China and Japan.

She has extensive knowledge and understanding of the evolving compliance and regulatory challenges facing companies that operate internationally. Her 20 + year career at Merck has spanned across multiple disciplines including Marketing, Scientific Leader Engagement, and Sales in the US and Global Hospital & Specialty Markets. She has significant and diverse experience in the Global and US strategic planning, Scientific Leadership, Sales-Force Execution, Launch Execution, Digital Transformation and Life Cycle Management of bringing new products to market. She has a keen understanding of the roles and decision points throughout the new product launch process to effectively navigate volatile dynamics to positive outcomes.
