Gamal Dopwell is a growth-oriented leader and skilled Supply Chain Manager with a history of achievements in logistics, cost-effective change implementation, and staff development. He has overseen multiple facets of the supply chain cycle, including transportation, distribution, freight budget maintenance, and negotiations with third-party logistics (3PL) vendors.
A native of Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Gamal received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Saint Joseph’s University, where he excelled in courses focusing on data analytics and international trade. His curiosity on how things work—specifically, how goods make their way from conception and manufacturing into the hands of consumers—drove him to pursue a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management and Logistics with a minor in Project Management from Drexel University. An avid learner, he further developed his expertise in process improvements, problem solving, and management of complex, high-impact projects with certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) and Project Management (CAPM).
While his professional activities typically do not involve direct interaction with consumers, Gamal regularly executes improved operational initiatives with the customer in mind. He is committed to delivering quality, sustainable, and affordable products that meet the everyday needs of people around the world. His unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in his focus on ethical manufacturing practices as well as his success in developing efficiencies that result in timely product transport and delivery.
Gamal is not one to shy away from a challenge. He excels at assessing the needs and resources of his teams in order to mitigate risks, maximize profits, and develop comprehensive improvement plans. His business savvy and strong work ethic have earned him leadership roles at some of the nation’s top manufacturers and logistics companies, including his current post at Newell Brands.
In his spare time, Gamal invests in his community by mentoring youths through his local chapter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He also enjoys bowling, reading, and attending spoken word performances.
