Glenn Booraem is a principal at Vanguard and leads the firm’s Investment Stewardship Research & Policy efforts in Vanguard’s Office of the General Counsel. Booraem joined Vanguard in 1989 as a fund accountant, eventually serving as the controller and treasurer of each of the Vanguard funds. Booraem also led the Vanguard funds’ investment stewardship efforts for nearly 20 years until 2020; during this time, in addition to representing Vanguard fund shareholders’ interests through engagement with portfolio companies and voting at shareholder meetings, he advocated for them through public speaking and service on advisory boards at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), The Conference Board and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), as well as serving as a founding member of the Investor Stewardship Group (isgframework.org).

Booraem currently serves on the board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and as the Industry Chair for the Raj & Kamla Gupta Governance Institute at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
