Karl Hausker, PhD, is a senior fellow in the Climate Program of the World Resources Institute. He leads analysis and modeling of net-zero emission pathways, climate mitigation, electricity market design and the social cost of carbon. He is an expert reviewer for the IPCC Sixth Assessment. He has worked for three decades in the fields of climate change, energy and environment in a career that has spanned legislative and executive branches, research institutions, nonprofits and consulting. He has led climate policy analysis and modeling projects for USAID, USEPA, RGGI, CARB and the Western Climate Initiative. Hausker holds an MPP and a PhD in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and received his BA in economics from Cornell University. He has a daughter attending Drexel University.
