Katie Spring leads a national team of nearly 200 communication professionals at Edelman Smithfield. She works closely with C-suites, Boards of Directors, and external advisors, providing counsel on transformative events such as strategic situations, leadership transitions, fund launches, restructurings, and crises. Her extensive experience includes a nine-year tenure as Chief Communications Officer at Citadel, where she managed public relations, public affairs, digital communications, philanthropy, and reputation management.
In addition to her professional roles, Katie is actively involved in several prestigious organizations. She is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Club, and she serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Architectural Center. Her educational background includes a degree from Wellesley College and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
