Malik Rose

Malik Rose is an accomplished basketball executive with a proven track record of success in leadership, strategic management, and innovation. He is the current Vice President of Basketball Operations for the National Basketball Association (NBA). He leads the day-to-day operations on behalf of the 30 teams across the league ensuring collaboration with players, building relationships with community leaders and league stakeholders.

Previously, Malik was the Assistant General Manager for the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks. As a front-office executive for multiple NBA teams, Malik was focused on demonstrating strategic leadership which is critical to building winning teams. He was the 2018 G-League Executive of the year after his Erie BayHawks became the first expansion team in NBA G-League history to win their division and make the conference finals. Malik has spent the last 30 years competing at the highest levels of basketball winning All-American honors in college and multiple NBA championships while also serving as a member of the NBPA Executive committee.

He finds it incredibly motivating to use his experience and diverse skillset to help the NBA and its players advance the game of basketball worldwide through mentoring current players and helping to empower them for success on and off the court.

Malik is a 1996 graduate of Drexel University. He is a father of two, Marley and Miles, and lives in NJ with his wife Tiffany.
