Michael Azarian

Michael (Mike) Azarian is a Business Technology Executive with extensive experience in the Financial Industry. He is a proven leader with a career history of executive partnerships to manage large scale, complex, business, technical and cultural transformations. Over four decades of diversified, successful implementations ranging from ground level start-up businesses, to complete end-to-end IT and operations reengineering.

Mike has performed in developer, systems-engineer, architect, manager, COO, CTO and CIO roles at consulting and major financial institutions. Over the years he has partnered with teams to: build two IT based service companies; build three Sales and Trading Floor Environments’; develop and maintain Trading and Sales FE&O Applications; implement Global Infrastructure Data Center Build & Environment Upgrades; negotiate and execute Company-wide global sourcing engagements, lead Consumer and Commercial Bank IT/Operations transformations.

His business experience spans Securities, Commercial, Consumer, Private Banking and Asset Management departments. Over 30 Years of his career has been in major roles at JP Morgan Chase and Citibank, N.A.

Mike brings knowledge, energy and leadership experience to help an organization’s leadership team understand changing market dynamics, plan strategic direction to maintain competitive position, set goals and objectives, and execute programs to their successful completion.

Mike is currently an Advisory Board Member of CxO NeXus which helps Global 5000 CIOs, CMOs, CFOs, CPOs, and VMOs leverage procurement data to increase efficiency through the use of advanced Data Science and Deep Learning Neural Network techniques.

He is also an independent member of the Board of Directors of the holding company, and its subsidiaries, of Flushing Financial Corporation. Flushing Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: FFIC) is the holding company for Flushing Bank, a New York State chartered commercial bank.
