Prof. Dr. Gary Clyde Hufbauer, Ph.D., is nonresident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE). Most recently, PIIE Reginald Jones Senior Fellow from 1992 to January 2018. Dr. Hufbauer is world renowned expert on sanctions in the world. He is the author of numerous publications on sanctions, including multiple editions of “Economic Sanctions Reconsidered” and the survey “Economic Sanctions for Foreign Policy Purposes: A Survey of the Twentieth Century” (2007).
