Richard Oriolo’s more than 35 years experience in all facets of facility, sports franchise and touring show development, execution of feasibility studies, business plans and operating pro formas and venue management, sales and marketing gives Stafford Sports the unparalleled ability to look at proposed facilities and development projects from every possible perspective on behalf of its clients. Oriolo is currently part of Stafford’s role as Development Consultants for the University of Texas New Arena Project, the New NBA/NHL Arena in Seattle, the Iowa River Landing Arena and Fieldhouse and the Transformation of XL Center.

Oriolo has provided strategic planning for Stafford’s university clients including Boston, Georgetown, Cleveland State, Connecticut, Fairfield, Houston, Lehigh, Rider, Saint Joseph’s, Seton Hall, Siena, Texas and Villanova. He has served as Strategic Advisor for the A-10 and MAAC Conferences and has helped negotiate long term agreements for conference championships.

He has developed feasibility studies and business plans for such venues as Oracle Arena (Golden State Warriors), Nassau Coliseum Renovation (Islanders), Quicken Loans Arena (Cavaliers), Moda Center (Trail Blazers), Wells Fargo Center (Flyers and Sixers) and Sun Life Stadium (Miami Dolphins).

He has provided strategic business studies and planning for venues including the American Bank Convention Center and Arena; Berry Center Complex, Bon Secours Wellness Arena, H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, Intrust Bank Center, Iowa Events Center Complex; Mobile Civic Center Complex, RJWBarnabas Health Arena, State Farm Arena and XL Center.

Previously, Oriolo developed comprehensive operations manuals and management policies and procedures for facilities such as the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, the Mosconi Convention Center, Mercedes Benz Superdome, the Peoria Convention Center and Arena, the Greensboro Arena and Convention Center, the Bismark Civic Center and DCU Center.
