Russ is the global leader of SEI Ventures, SEI’s corporate venture capital program. SEI Ventures seeks to invest in emergent and potentially disruptive technologies or business models that we believe will accelerate the launch of new platforms or drive new product development in existing and adjacent markets. SEI Ventures’ strategic mission is to enhance our ability to deliver innovative, comprehensive solutions to help our clients achieve lasting success.
Russ also leads our global innovation programs, which focus on various initiatives that enable creative problem-solving through design-thinking and user-centered design principles. Throughout his career, Russ has led product-design, technology and innovation strategies for several businesses, ranging from startups to billion-dollar enterprises. During his 19-year tenure at SEI, he has led various strategic initiatives, including new business marketing, business development, product design and technology.
Russ also serves as an adjunct professor at Villanova University’s School of Business’ Executive MBA program, focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship and value creation through technology. Russ is also a startup mentor for Drexel University’s Close School of Entrepreneurship. Russ holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Design from Drexel University’s College of Computing & Informatics.
